What it means for parts.
Each tool holds its own material, already hot and ready. That means one part can combine a rigid and a soft material, such as a PETG shell with a TPU grip, or use a different material for supports. With a single nozzle every material change needs a purge, which wastes filament and time. With separate tools that waste drops sharply.
For a functional prototype it means testing a multi-material part in one print, just like the production part. It is the same direction as the H2D, the two-nozzle printer we use in the studio, taken to nine tools.
